HD Spy Cameras – Surveillance in High Definition
HD Spy Cameras typically have up to 5 times more picture detail than conventional spy cameras, often with a high frame rate of 30 frames per second (fps). A spy camera with HD resolution typically records images that are 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high, which is considerably different to the old-fashioned spy cameras with just a 640 pixel x 480 pixel image size.
HD spy cameras were first rolled out into high definition CCTV security systems, but you can now get this technology in portable covert spy cameras such as watches, pens and clocks. There are some portable units that you can get, where you can hide the camera yourself too.
You’ll notice that HD spy cameras typically have a larger lens to allow as much light into the camera sensor as possible. Thankfully, this is only a minor difference, and still allows the portable spy cameras to be very discrete.
